What is a PPO? Preferred Provider Organization. A health care organization composed of physicians, hospitals, or other providers which provides health care services at a reduced fee. PPOs are similar to HMOs, with the exception that care is paid for at the time of service, instead of advanced payments and fees. PPOs often allow for out of network treatment, for an additional cost to policy holders,. In Network visits require a payment of a modest fee. There is often a deductible for out-of-network expenses and a higher co-payment. A policy holder will have a primary physician within the network who will handle referrals to specialists that will be covered by the PPO. After the visit the plan holder submits a claim and will receive a re-imbursement check after the co-pay has been deducted.
Dental PPOs are similar to Health PPOs, only difference being that it is a network of dental care providers, compared to health care providers. Just like the Medical PPO, the PPO Dental Plans do have limits on services provided and network restrictions.

Do you really like working for someone else? Well I thought I had the perfect job. I was a one woman office and it was great. I worked a salary wage and of course I had to commute back and forth to work, leaving my grandchildren that I’m raising in one town while working in another. I also thought my title said it all.. “Assistant Area Supervisor”. The title itself sounded so impressive to me. Well I thought hard about my so called “Title”. supposedly, my job required that I traveled to other offices, but that never happened. I was the only supervisor around and it never happened. What do yo think, impressive? “NOT”? Now I am a somebody going somewhere in life.
And my boss, well he was impressive also. My boss would go out of his way to take his anger out on me. He would come and yell and curse at me. Even go as far as to slam his fist on my desk and proceed to tell me that I need to get whatever he was about fixed or done.
I finally stood up to him one day. That’s when I realized my job was soon coming to an end. I was fired four months later. I was fired one month short of being seven years on the job I truly loved was now gone. Seems I was trapped in the JOB, and all alone.
