Do you really like working for someone else? Well I thought I had the perfect job. I was a one woman office and it was great. I worked a salary wage and of course I had to commute back and forth to work, leaving my grandchildren that I’m raising in one town while working in another. I also thought my title said it all.. “Assistant Area Supervisor”. The title itself sounded so impressive to me. Well I thought hard about my so called “Title”. supposedly, my job required that I traveled to other offices, but that never happened. I was the only supervisor around and it never happened. What do yo think, impressive? “NOT”? Now I am a somebody going somewhere in life.
And my boss, well he was impressive also. My boss would go out of his way to take his anger out on me. He would come and yell and curse at me. Even go as far as to slam his fist on my desk and proceed to tell me that I need to get whatever he was about fixed or done.
I finally stood up to him one day. That’s when I realized my job was soon coming to an end. I was fired four months later. I was fired one month short of being seven years on the job I truly loved was now gone. Seems I was trapped in the JOB, and all alone.
When I picked up a business opportunity offer in the mail, things changed. I felt like I needed to call. I’m so happy Ameriplan found me. I also found a new best friend as a bonus.

It sure feels good to work on my time and not on someone else’s.
